Spring has just about sprung, and whether it is lockdown life or it’s the daffodils that have started popping up everywhere, I am ready to start thinking about Easter, dressing for summer, and giving my home a little revamp. I’m also feeling craftier than ever, and have several knitting and sewing projects on the go at the moment- it’s certainly not thriftier than buying new garments, but I love the satisfaction of making something myself. Plus, it passes the time!
Today I’m sharing my ‘Favourites Lists’ on Etsy- the things I’ve been loving recently and intend to go back to and purchase at some point in the future.
Let’s dive in and take a look.
Like I said before, I’m already thinking about Easter. Strange, because usually I don’t particularly celebrate this holiday (although I do enjoy the chocolate!) But this year I’ve been thinking about decorating for Easter, making an Easter tree, and creating little spring displays in my home.
Some of my favourite items have been personalised Easter baubles, tree decorations and cards. I’d love to send out some Easter treats to loved ones this year too- because who doesn’t love to receive Easter treats in the post?!
Since I’ve been starting at the same four walls for months now, I’ve really started to think about extra finishing touches that could be added to lift the atmosphere in my home. I love all things ceramics and vintage- and Etsy does not come up short!
Some of my favourites include gorgeous coasters, handmade tassels and beautiful vases and candlesticks.
Recently I have become much more aware of where I shop for clothing, and find myself opting for natural fabrics such as cotton or linen. I believe organic cotton is the best choice for basics and underwear, and Etsy has a large number of sellers which offer affordable, organic cotton clothing from independent sellers.
I’ve listed some of my favourites- we have some organic dungarees, an organic cotton bra, some socks and more. You can even purchase adorable organic cotton baby clothing which is totally handmade and unique. Do check out the amazing handmade baby clothes available as they are so cute! Not to mention you are supporting a small business owner.
Since we’ve been stuck at home, my interest in crafts has skyrocketed. I have always enjoyed making things, but I’ve been challenging myself to take on more difficult projects like knitting a cardigan. It’s been a learning curve for sure but so fun to create things by hand.
Not only can you buy beautiful premade crafts on Etsy, but you can also find lots of craft materials too. There are hundreds of stores selling everything from knitting needles to basket weaving kits. I have my eye on far too many project materials at the moment so you’ll have to buy some for me!
